Welcome to the Deepak and Maya Satwalekar Lab, (DMSL), a key pillar of the MS-101 Makerspace initiative at IIT Bombay. Established to revolutionize first-year engineering education, DMSL equips students with state-of-the-art tools and resources, providing a platform for experiential learning. Our lab bridges the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges through multidisciplinary approaches.
The lab is a collaborative space that fosters creativity and innovation, equipped with advanced equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and electronic testing stations. We aim to nurture inquisitive minds by encouraging them to think beyond textbooks and engage in hands-on projects that inspire curiosity and problem-solving skills. With over 250 workstations, DMSL serves nearly 1,400 students annually, making it one of the most advanced facilities of its kind.
