At IIT Bombay, we introduced the maker space course as a core requirement for all first-year undergraduate students. This course enables students to undertake self-driven projects in our micro-factories, fostering innovation. It is the largest curricular makerspace course globally. Throughout the course, entire cohorts of students have created fully functional drones, line-following robots, and universal testing machines.
